As Russian provocations continue, the Kremlin dismisses threats made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that Kremlin officials should know where the shelters are, saying that Ukraine is losing the war and its negotiating position is deteriorating. Zelensky told Axios that centers of Russian power, such as the Kremlin, are potential targets, adding that Kremlin officials “must know where the shelters are.”
Russia launched another massive air attack on Ukrainian cities while people were sleeping.
Again, hundreds of drones and missiles, destroying residential buildings and causing civilian casualties.

“Zelensky is trying to show Europeans, who are now acting as carriers, that he is such a brave soldier,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told state television. “Meanwhile, the situation at the front shows the opposite. Every day that passes, the situation in Ukraine deteriorates relentlessly. And every day Ukraine’s negotiating positions deteriorate relentlessly.”

War in Ukraine: How much territory does Russia control
Russia controls 114,918 square kilometers or about 19% of Ukraine and has captured 4,729 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory in the past year, according to the pro-Ukrainian DeepState.
When asked by Russian state television’s Kremlin correspondent Pavel Zarubin how the Kremlin would perceive an attack on the center of Russian power, Peskov replied that “it’s better not to even discuss this.”
Zelensky on Russian attack: “Savage strike with 500 drones and over 40 missiles”
As he stated on social media: “Moscow wants to continue fighting and killing and deserves only the toughest pressure from the world“. According to the Ukrainian military, during the night Russia fired 595 drones and 48 missiles at Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine, resulting in at least four people losing their lives and dozens being injured, in one of the longest-duration attacks since the war began.
The Ukrainian military said air defense forces shot down 568 drones and 43 missiles and emphasized that the main target of the attack was Kyiv.

Zelensky’s post:
“A massive Russian attack on Ukraine lasted for more than 12 hours. Savage strikes, deliberate, targeted terrorism against ordinary cities – almost 500 attack drones and over 40 missiles, including Kinzhal missiles. This morning, Russian-Iranian “shaheds” are again in our skies.
The main targets of enemy attacks were Kyiv and the surrounding area, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv and Odesa regions. In the capital, the building of the Cardiology Institute was damaged. So far, four deaths have been reported in Kyiv, including a 12-year-old girl. My condolences to all families and their loved ones. Across Ukraine, at least 40 people are known to have been injured, including children.
A bakery, a tire manufacturing plant, private residences and apartment buildings, as well as other civilian infrastructure were damaged by the raids. All necessary services have been deployed on site.
This heinous attack occurred almost at the end of UN General Assembly week, and this is exactly how Russia declares its real position. Moscow wants to continue fighting and killing, and it deserves the toughest pressure from the world. The Kremlin benefits from continuing this war and terrorism, as long as it earns revenue from energy and operates a shadow fleet. We will continue to fight back to deprive Russia of these revenue streams and force it to turn to diplomacy. All those who want peace must support President Trump’s efforts and stop any Russian imports. The time for decisive action is long overdue and we rely on a strong response from the United States, Europe, the G7 and the G20“.
