New details are emerging about the incident that occurred at the infamous concert by Coldplay that was captured by the KissCam. According to a Daily Mail report, it has been revealed that the husband of the HR director who was caught flirting with her boss was also at the concert, accompanied by his own partner. Andrew Cabot, who was married to 52-year-old Kristin Cabot, spoke for the first time and confirmed that he had separated from his wife when the incident occurred. In fact, he stated that he had already moved on with his life and was with his new partner at the same concert. A source told The Times of London: “Kristin was in the stands with her colleagues, although it wasn’t a company box, and Andrew was also there with his partner, a woman who is now his girlfriend.”
“They had separated and were living apart for several weeks. It was an amicable separation… [Cabot] felt she couldn’t speak out, as people going through divorce proceedings can’t say anything publicly.”
“It wasn’t that she was caught cheating, it wasn’t some affair”
The same source referred to Cabot’s decision to hide when the camera showed her embracing Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer. This move caught the attention of Coldplay singer Chris Martin, who said: “They’re either in a relationship or they’re very shy.” Byron, seeing himself on the big screen, appeared to mutter: “F***, that’s me.” This moment went viral and led to both Cabot and Byron losing their jobs. “Kristin wasn’t hiding, I don’t know why she ducked down. She knew it was inappropriate to behave that way with her boss as head of Human Resources,” the source said.
“It wasn’t that she was caught cheating, it wasn’t some affair,” it was stated. “She fully recognizes that [the embrace] was inappropriate, but that was the only inappropriate thing she did.”
According to the same source, Cabot and Byron simply have “a great friendship.” Andrew was reportedly shocked when he found journalists outside the house he shared with his wife and their two children in Rye, New Hampshire.
He felt compelled to confirm to People magazine that he and Cabot had already “separated privately and amicably several weeks before the Coldplay concert.” “Their decision to separate had already been made before that night,” a spokesperson for Andrew, who is managing director of Privateer Rum, told the magazine. “Now that the divorce filing has been made public, Andrew hopes this will put an end to the speculation.”
Byron’s 50-year-old wife, Megan Kerrigan, with whom he has two children, left the house and returned her wedding ring. She even removed her husband’s name from her Facebook page before deciding to delete her account entirely.
