At least 15 people were killed today due to Israeli strikes at various locations in the Gaza Strip, according to a spokesperson from the Palestinian enclave’s Civil Defense service. Mahmoud Basal told the French News Agency (AFP) that 15 people were killed in attacks launched by the Israeli army after midnight.

More specifically, according to emergency services in Gaza City, at least seven people were killed in three airstrikes against a warehouse and tents housing displaced people at the Firas market. Five people were killed in two strikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp and three in other attacks in Gaza City.
The Israeli armed forces announced last week the launch of ground operations in Gaza City, while simultaneously intensifying airstrikes in the broader area.
