The New York Times reveals details about the summer vacation of Donald Trump‘s daughter, Tiffany, and her husband Michael Boulos. The 31-year-old youngest daughter of the US president and her husband stayed aboard the Phoenix 2, one of the largest yachts in the world, this summer. Specifically, the American media outlet gathered evidence showing that the couple spent their vacation on the Phoenix 2, a nearly 300-foot yacht among the world’s 100 largest, which according to industry sources who spoke to the newspaper, belongs to Turkish billionaire oil magnate Ercument Bayegan and his wife, Ruya Bayegan, owners of energy company BGN International, which is expected to benefit directly from increased oil production in Libya. What’s particularly interesting, according to the newspaper, is that Tiffany was traveling the French Riviera with her husband in mid-to-late July, at the same time her father-in-law, Lebanese businessman Massad Boulos, was in Libya announcing deals to boost oil and natural gas production.
Tiffany Trump: The cruise with her husband that sparked controversy
Tiffany and her husband Michael Boulos took a summer cruise in the Mediterranean, with Trump’s daughter posting Instagram photos from their family vacation mainly on the French Riviera, but without revealing which yacht they were on.
There is nothing illegal about Tiffany or the Boulos family staying on the yacht, which features two helipads and a swimming pool. However, the free accommodation raises questions about whether the broader Trump family uses its name for personal benefit and potentially to influence foreign business deals, the report notes.
Trump and the Republican Party have long argued that former President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, should have been prosecuted for similar issues. Tiffany posted photos and videos from the luxury vessel on Instagram.
Massad Boulos and Michael Boulos declined to comment to the newspaper’s request, while a representative for Tiffany said it was a “private vacation.”
A spokesperson for Ruya Bayegan’s BGN company stated that she was not aboard the Phoenix 2 during the same period as Tiffany and her husband.
