US President Donald Trump may meet next week with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as revealed by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to Rubio, the goal of the meeting is to explore a possible peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine, an agreement that, as he noted, could also be acceptable to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The meeting, if it takes place, will be held in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
“President Trump has had many phone conversations with Putin in the past and many meetings with Zelensky. It’s likely that another one will take place next week in New York,” Rubio stated, speaking to reporters during his visit to Israel.
