“I am ready to impose significant sanctions on Russia when all NATO countries agree and start doing the same, and when all NATO countries stop buying oil from Russia,” Donald Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
Specifically, the American president sent a letter to NATO in this manner, declaring his readiness to implement significant sanctions on Russia, while noting that “this is not Trump’s war (it would never have started if I were President!), it is Biden and Zelensky’s war. I am here only to help stop it and save thousands of Russian and Ukrainian lives.”
The revelation was made through his post on the Truth Social platform at a time when Russia is conducting major military exercises with its faithful ally Belarus, following Poland’s downing of a Moscow drone that crossed into its territory, causing strong reactions from NATO member states.
