After the identification of the assassin of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, which was confirmed at the FBI press conference, more and more details are becoming known about the arrested perpetrator Tyler Robinson who was born in 2003. Tyler Robinson was arrested at 10 p.m. local time on Thursday in Utah, announced FBI Director Kash Patel. “In less than 36 hours – 33 to be exact – thanks to the full support of the federal government and in cooperation with partners here in the state of Utah and Governor Cox, the suspect was arrested in historically significant time,” Patel stated. “The forensic evidence has already been evaluated” by the FBI, according to Patel, with over 11,000 pieces of evidence being examined as thoroughly as possible.
Authorities have three days to file the charges. Subsequently, according to Cox, there will be more information with greater detail, as these documents will be filed in anticipation of the preliminary hearing. Anti-fascist messages were found on cartridges discovered after the shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, Utah Governor Spencer Cox stated today. “The inscriptions on the three unused cartridges read ‘Hey fascist! Take this!'”,” the governor emphasized at a press conference. A second casing was engraved with the title of the famous anti-fascist song “Bella ciao,” while other cartridges had unclear messages written on them. The suspect alleged to have killed Kirk was identified as Tyler Robinson and was arrested today. Robinson confessed to a family friend — or “implied that he committed the murder” to this friend — and this person in turn contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s office yesterday, Thursday.

Tyler Robinson: The final words before Kirk’s assassination
Tyler Robinson had spoken negatively about the victim before the shooting, a family member told investigators, according to the Utah governor. “Investigators interviewed a Robinson family member, who stated that Robinson had become more politicized in recent years,” said Governor Spencer Cox. The 22-year-old specifically mentioned Kirk during a family dinner, Cox said.
“In conversation with another family member, Robinson mentioned that Charlie Kirk was coming to the University of Utah. They talked about why he didn’t like him and the views he held,” the governor said.
At the dinner, Robinson said that “Kirk was full of hate and spreading hate,” according to the relative’s description conveyed by Cox.
Timeline of the deadly attack as presented at the FBI briefing:
September 10
12:23 – Charlie Kirk is shot.
12:39 – Police secure the crime scene.
September 11
10 a.m. – FBI releases photos of the suspect.
Shortly after, FBI offers $100,000 reward.
5:30 p.m. – Patel and FBI Deputy Director arrive at the crime scene.
8 p.m. – Press conference is held.
10 p.m. – Suspect is arrested.
Patel added that they conducted “approximately 7,000 interviews.”
“Tyler Robinson acted alone”
Authorities believe the perpetrator acted alone.
There is no evidence of other individuals’ involvement, as the investigation continues. He was arrested in Washington County, in southern Utah, about three to four hours by road from Orem, where his family lived.
The perpetrator “changed clothes” while on campus to carry out the shooting, the Utah governor reported. He explained that when “first spotted,” the suspect was wearing one set of clothes, which he allegedly changed while on a building’s roof.
Cox then emphasized that the perpetrator “put those clothes back on at some point,” meaning the original clothes.
All this means, according to the governor, that when arrested, the suspect was wearing the same clothes he wore before the assassination.
