Utah authorities released late Thursday night four new photographs of the primary suspect in the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, as the investigation to identify him remains ongoing. The images, offering closer shots, show the young suspect wearing a baseball cap and black sunglasses, which make identification difficult. However, his clothing, shoes, and backpack are clearly visible.

Charlie Kirk murder: Rumors of suspect’s capture denied
Meanwhile, reports claiming authorities had located the perpetrator and knew his identity have been denied. No arrest warrant has been issued at this time. Police are offering a $100,000 reward for any information leading to his arrest.
Kirk was shot in the neck while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University, and the attack appears to have been targeted, as the gunman was positioned on a roof opposite the event location. The perpetrator allegedly climbed onto the university building’s roof shortly before noon and executed Kirk with a single shot. After the attack, he fled the scene toward a nearby neighborhood.
Notably, police found the perpetrator’s weapon, a hunting rifle, in a wooded area near the university.
The ammunition allegedly bore engravings supporting transgender rights and anti-fascist ideology, though this has not yet been confirmed by authorities.
USA: Strong reactions following Kirk’s murder
Kirk’s murder has triggered new confrontations in the United States, with Trump supporters and other conservatives blaming the Left, pointing out that Kirk was targeted because of his political beliefs, while calls for retaliation emerge.
Kirk’s death has highlighted America’s deep political polarization. In the Capitol, Republican Representative Anna Paulina Luna blamed Democrats for the tension caused by political rhetoric, while Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called for stricter gun controls, emphasizing that this murder could bring more violence and political chaos.
Major figures in the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement, inspired by President Donald Trump, characterized Charlie Kirk as a “martyr” who died defending conservative and Christian values.
On the other hand, social media users celebrated with posts about Kirk’s murder and some compared him to Adolf Hitler.
Some TikTok users reacted to the murder, with one pretending to cry while playing dramatic music, captioned: “Charlie Kirk is dead?” while another wrote: “Hitler gives Charlie Kirk a tour of hell.” Another called the 31-year-old a “Nazi” and added: “and you know what the best kind of Nazi is? A dead Nazi. Thank God this man is no longer in this world.”
Many discovered videos of the 31-year-old defending gun ownership. “I don’t know, I think being killed by your favorite thing in the world is sweet. It’s a nice gesture,” wrote a social media user. “If he didn’t make it, at least he died with the love of his life, school shootings,” commented another.
“And now we sit and watch Republicans ignore today’s school shooting while loudly mourning Charlie Kirk,” “this wouldn’t have happened if Charlie Kirk had been armed.”
