In a new interview, Vivian Jenna Wilson spoke about her simple and modest daily life, the trans daughter of Elon Musk. Despite the fact that her father is the richest man in the world, she has decided to follow a completely different path.
“The world thinks I have a lot of money. I don’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars at my disposal,” the 21-year-old emphasized to The Cut magazine, making it clear that she’s not interested in living in excessive luxury.
Vivian, who cut all contact with Elon Musk in 2022 when she filed a petition to change her gender and name, explained that she lives with three roommates to reduce her expenses. “I can buy food. I have friends, a home and some disposable income, which is nice and certainly luckier than what most people my age have in Los Angeles,” she said.
She celebrated last May five years since coming out as a trans woman, when she was just 16 years old. “I fought so hard for so long to be seen as a normal person. There was a moment, right before I became famous, when nobody knew who I was. It was wonderful. Everyone treated me like a normal human being. I miss that a little bit. But I also like being famous,” she mentioned in her interview.
In her own way, Vivian shows that she has chosen a simple and meaningful life, far from her father’s immense fortune.
