The White House released rich photographic material from unseen scenes of the meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska. Most of the frames capturing the behind-the-scenes moments of the historic tête-à-tête were taken by White House chief photographer Daniel Torok.
In one of the frames from Elmendorf-Richardson Base in Anchorage, President Trump appears to be speaking intensely to President Putin before their joint press conference, touching his chest with his finger while a translator stands between them.

In one photograph, the American president appears at the head of a conference table aboard the US presidential aircraft during a meeting with CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Communications Director Steven Cheung.

In another frame, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the special envoy to Russia, Steve Witkoff, are also seen consulting with Trump and the White House chief of staff inside Air Force One, while Trump’s dialogue with journalists and the US president’s military jacket have been captured.

Trump and Putin met again after the press conference, as the photographs show. In one image, Trump appears to place his hand on Putin’s shoulder, with his back turned to the camera, as they prepared to depart.

At one point, Vladimir Putin appears to be admiring a painting depicting reindeer crossing a frozen landscape, which was in a corridor of the American military base, while in another snapshot the Russian president is seen arriving at the press conference venue.

The White House album also includes a shot of the B-2 bomber, flanked by F-22 fighter jets, the aircraft that flew over Putin and Trump shortly after their first handshake in Alaska.

The White House also chose a photograph of Vladimir Putin’s limousine parked next to “The Beast,” the limousine used by the American president and which Putin entered so both could be transported to their meeting venue on Friday evening.
Other frames show the US president and his team preparing for the meeting while flying to Alaska on Air Force One, while the phone call Trump made to Zelensky during his return to Washington was also captured.
