Hundreds of travelers were trapped at Birmingham Airport in Britain on Wednesday (6/8) after a small aircraft made an emergency landing, resulting in the suspension of runway operations for several hours. The incident occurred at 13:40 and authorities announced a temporary halt to all flights. British media reported that at least 25 flights to European destinations were cancelled.

The Beechcraft B200 Super King Air aircraft, which was operating a flight to Belfast, experienced a technical problem and was forced to land partially without landing gear. Three occupants received medical attention at the scene, while one suffered minor injuries.
Due to the incident, many flights were diverted to Manchester and East Midlands airports, while passengers were advised not to travel to Birmingham without prior confirmation of their flight schedule. In the afternoon, shortly before 20:00, the airport announced the resumption of runway operations and the restoration of flight schedules.
