Investigators found that 95 children were shot in the head or chest. In most of these cases, the victim was under 12 years old. The BBC World Service documentary series “Investigating the killings of children in Gaza” is gut-wrenching, with footage that provokes horror and raises serious questions.
According to Palestinian authorities, the Israeli military has killed 18,592 children in the Gaza Strip since October 2023.
Reactions regarding hostages
Meanwhile, the “Movement for Israel’s Security” (CIS) is calling for a ceasefire in a letter signed by 550 former intelligence chiefs, military officers, police officials, and former diplomats.
“Stop the war in Gaza,” states the letter, co-signed by three former Mossad chiefs, five former Shin Bet heads, and three former military chiefs of staff. They are calling for Donald Trump’s intervention and emphasizing that Hamas no longer poses a threat.
This comes as three videos of Israeli hostages have been released, prompting an emergency UN Security Council meeting and calls from the International Red Cross to end the horror. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz condemned the situation, stating that “the tragic images exclude Hamas from Gaza’s future.”
