A heartbreaking video from the Gaza Strip captures the moment when little Hammoud desperately searches for his grandparents under the rubble, following an airstrike by Israel in Gaza City.
In the video, captured by a Palestinian photographer and published by Al Jazeera, the child can be heard saying with tears in his eyes: “I’m looking for my grandpa and grandma. I swear I miss them…”

The photographer asks him where they are and Hammoud answers in terror: “They’re here…”, pointing to the rubble where he believes his loved ones are buried. He tries with both hands to move the heavy stones, determined to find them, while sobbing and crying: “I want my grandpa… I want my grandpa…”, continuing to dig desperately.
