On the occasion of the third anniversary of the deadly attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023, the Israeli Embassy in Greece published a post highlighting the strength and resilience of the Israeli people.
Israeli Embassy marks 3 years since the Hamas attack: “The people of Israel live”
The post reads: “Three years have passed since October 7, 2023. We remember the lives taken by Palestinian Hamas. We honor the heroes. We carry the wounds. And yet, we stand tall. We rebuild. We live. We choose hope.” The statement concludes with the phrase “Am Yisrael Chai” — meaning “the people of Israel live” — an expression that has become a powerful symbol of Jewish resilience and continuity, particularly in times of hardship.
The post is accompanied by a video containing harrowing footage from the deadly attack, presenting documented evidence of the killings of Israeli citizens, abductions, and the widespread destruction caused by Hamas.
Am Yisrael Chai. 🇮🇱 #UNFORGO7TEN https://t.co/a8WibV1e35
