The government-aligned Fox News reportedly sided with CNN and blocked Donald Trump-related events from its calendar until the ban was lifted — yet it appears to be “hiring” straight from the administration, as evidenced by the addition of Karoline Leavitt to its lineup. The former White House press secretary — who might have avoided the network’s blackout, along with MSNBC and Politico, had she remained in her role — reportedly decided to step down just months after the birth of her second child in early May 2026, with her departure coming in late August. Fox News then announced it had brought her on board. According to the network’s Monday, October 5 announcement, she will “comment on and analyze” current political affairs. Leavitt is set to make her on-air debut on Monday, November 1 — 28 days from now. In a press release, she was praised for her “unique perspective on the current political landscape.”

Karoline Leavitt: Unwavering in her MAGA commitment
Karoline Leavitt is set to continue championing Donald Trump’s agenda, particularly as upcoming elections draw near. The MAGA (“Make America Great Again”) ideology she promotes remains firmly rooted in Trump’s political movement. “I look forward to bringing the unique perspective I gained from my experience as White House Press Secretary, with the same energy and candor that defined my tenure,” she said, according to the network’s announcement. Fox News is, of course, the preferred outlet of American conservatives. Leavitt is no stranger to Fox’s studios, having been a frequent guest throughout her time in the administration. Notably, she has not yet been replaced. Donald Trump has not announced a new press secretary, and since her departure, the White House has stopped holding regular press briefings for journalists.
Leavitt, now 29 years old, made history last year when she became the youngest person ever to serve as White House Press Secretary. She is currently reported to be involved with “MAGA Inc.,” a Political Action Committee (PAC) that supports Donald Trump.
Bridging the gap with Gen Z
Originally from New Hampshire in the northeastern United States, Karoline Leavitt’s meteoric rise alongside Donald Trump has highlighted the growing reach of the president’s ideas among Generation Z. During her tenure, she adopted an aggressive communications strategy against mainstream media outlets, while simultaneously opening the White House doors to influencers and content creators aligned with the MAGA movement.
