US President Donald Trump condemned the “irrational” bloody attack carried out by a “deranged” gunman who killed four people in a skyscraper in New York before taking his own life.

“I was informed about the tragic attack that occurred in Manhattan, in an area I know and love,” Donald Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. “I have confidence in law enforcement that they will shed light on the causes that drove this deranged individual to commit such an irrational violent act,” he added.
Three men, including one police officer, and one woman were killed Monday evening by the gunman who stormed the skyscraper. Another person was injured and is hospitalized in critical condition.
The 27-year-old Shane Tamura, who subsequently took his own life, reportedly had psychological problems. He lived in Las Vegas and drove across the country to reach New York. The skyscraper houses the headquarters of the National Football League (NFL), and New York Mayor Eric Adams said Tamura left a note blaming the sports league for the chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) he believed he suffered from. “He indeed had a note on him,” Adams said speaking on the CBS Mornings television show. “In the note he mentioned that he felt he had CTE, a known condition in those who participate in contact sports. It appears he blamed the NFL for his injury,” he explained.
