Meanwhile, Iranian state media reported that explosions heard earlier in the city of Andimeshk were not the result of an attack, but were attributed to scheduled operations. Local authorities described them as “controlled explosions,” stressing that “this is not a hostile attack.” At the same time, Kuwait announced that its airspace had come under attack, as Iran intensifies its military activity across the Gulf region, with the situation in the Strait of Hormuz remaining particularly volatile. “The armed forces are intercepting hostile aerial objects within Kuwaiti airspace,” a statement from the General Staff read, urging residents “to follow the safety instructions issued by the authorities.”
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian responded to recent remarks by Donald Trump, who had claimed that the United States had destroyed the bulk of Iran’s military capabilities. “Their rhetoric continues — but the question is: have they achieved their objectives on the battlefield?” Pezeshkian said in televised comments. “Those who decided to try to destroy our country — what have they ultimately achieved through their actions?” he added, stressing that “we will defend every inch of our homeland with our actions.”
