Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit the occupied territories of Cyprus tomorrow, July 20, marking the 51st anniversary of Turkey’s invasion of Cyprus.
According to a statement by Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, Erdogan “will attend ceremonies held on the occasion of the Peace and Freedom Day and the 51st anniversary of the Turkish invasion.”

“On July 20, 2025, our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit the ‘Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’ to attend ceremonies held on the occasion of the Peace and Freedom Day and the 51st anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation [Turkish term for invasion].
Within the framework of the visit, our President will meet with the President of the ‘TRNC’, Ersin Tatar, and will participate in the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of certain projects to be implemented with the contribution of our country.”
Cumhurbaşkanımız Sayın Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Barış ve Özgürlük Bayramı ve Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı’nın 51. yıl dönümü vesilesiyle gerçekleştirilecek törenlere katılmak üzere Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti’ni 20 Temmuz 2025 tarihinde ziyaret edeceklerdir.
