Shock spreads following the maritime tragedy in Vietnam, where a tourist boat capsized during a severe storm in the popular Halong Bay, resulting in at least 27 people losing their lives, including eight children.
According to international media reports, the accident occurred at 1:30 PM local time when the vessel was struck by a storm and capsized while sailing. By 2:05 PM, the boat’s GPS signal was lost, prompting local authorities to raise the alarm.

Vietnam: Search continues for missing passengers
Police, the Navy, border guards, and port authorities continue searching the waters, while 27 vessels and two rescue boats are reportedly heading to the scene.
Diving teams are also searching both inside the capsized vessel’s cabin and the surrounding area looking for missing victims.
Halong Bay, where the boat sank, is located approximately 200 kilometers (125 miles) northeast of Hanoi and attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year. Boat excursions are extremely popular in the area.
