Israel will continue to use military means to enforce the “two red lines” it has set in Syria, according to Benjamin Netanyahu. A day earlier, large-scale Israeli strikes had targeted Syrian government and military positions.

“We have established clear policy: The demilitarization of the area south of Damascus, from the Golan Heights to the Druze mountains, is one red line. The second is the protection of our brothers, the Druze in Jabal al-Druze,” Netanyahu said in a video message.
Furthermore, the Israeli prime minister accused the regime of Ahmed al-Sharaa in Syria of violating both of these boundaries. “He sent troops south of Damascus, to an area that should be demilitarized, and began massacring the Druze. We could not accept this in any way,” he stated characteristically.
“We will continue to act”
Netanyahu added that the ceasefire announced by al-Sharaa, which included the withdrawal of Syrian forces, was not the result of negotiations or appeals. “The ceasefire was achieved through strength. Not through requests, not through pleas – through strength,” he emphasized. The Israeli prime minister concluded: “We acted, and we will continue to act whenever necessary.”
