The American president’s decision was made following a request from Pakistan and other states, as well as under the weight of developments in talks with Iran.

As he mentioned, this move is connected both to a “significant military success” in the campaign against Iran and to the progress being made toward achieving a final agreement with Tehran.
Despite this suspension, the naval blockade remains active. The temporary halt of “Project Freedom” operations aims to provide time to assess whether a final agreement between the involved parties can be achieved and signed.
