At least 17 people were injured while homes and buildings sustained damage in overnight Ukrainian drone attacks on the southwestern Russian regions of Lipetsk and Voronezh, regional governors said today.
Russian air defense units destroyed 12 drones over the Voronezh region, which borders Ukraine, Governor Alexander Gusev said via Telegram.
Sixteen people were injured as a result of the attack, he said.
Apartment buildings in the city of Voronezh and its suburbs sustained damage, as did commercial facilities throughout the area, Gusev said.
In the city of Yelets in the Lipetsk region, a drone crashed into an industrial area, injuring one person, regional governor Igor Artamonov announced via Telegram.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced via Telegram that its units destroyed 55 Ukrainian unmanned aircraft overnight over five Russian regions and the Black Sea, including three over the Lipetsk region.
So far, there has been no comment from Ukraine regarding the attack.
