This statement was made to Reuters by a high-ranking Iranian official participating in the talks. “If an agreement is reached on a negotiation framework, the Strait of Hormuz could open ‘in a limited way, under Iranian control,'” the official emphasized.

“Coordination with the Iranian military will be mandatory for all ships. Nevertheless, the ceasefire is fragile, however, we prefer lasting peace, but Iran is not afraid to return to war if the US wants to follow the same path,” he added.
