According to testimonies, one of the attackers approached the consulate in the Levent area by vehicle and opened fire from a distance of approximately 70 meters. Police forces responded immediately, while strong reinforcements rushed to the scene.
For its part, Israel strongly condemned the attack, emphasizing that it will not be intimidated by such actions. In its statement, the Foreign Ministry thanked the Turkish authorities for their immediate response, underlining that terrorism will not affect the country’s stance.
