The extent of destruction to an American aircraft Boeing E-3 Sentry is captured in photos and video circulating online, following an attack attributed to Iran. As shown in the related documentation, the advanced “flying radar” of the USA has suffered complete destruction, appearing literally cut in half. The specific aircraft, an E-3G Sentry (AWACS) of the US Air Force, was hit during a missile and drone attack on the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, during March 27-28, 2026.

The aircraft was hit by fire while on the ground. This is considered the first critical loss in a military operation, as the E-3 serves as the “flying operations center” for coordinating air traffic and detecting threats in the region.
