Donald Trump launches new attacks against NATO countries in his latest post, stating that they “have done absolutely nothing to help” against this nation “that has been militarily decimated, Iran.”
“The US needs nothing from NATO, but never forget this very important moment,” he added.
This is not the first time the US president has turned his fire on NATO member countries. In his statements, he has characterized the Allies as “cowards,” noting that it would be “so easy” for Organization members to help restart operations in the Strait of Hormuz, but they don’t want to engage in a “simple military maneuver.”
“Without the US, NATO is a paper tiger,” Trump wrote characteristically on Truth Social. “They didn’t want to participate in the battle to stop a nuclear-powered Iran,” he emphasized.
