Iran warns it may proceed to close the Strait of Hormuz if its nuclear facilities are hit, while also speaking of “new surprises.” At the same time, it claims to have targeted Israel’s defense industry.

In northwestern Iran, an air strike destroyed residential buildings in the city of Urmia, with rescue teams operating in the rubble to locate victims, according to the semi-official Nour News agency. The Fars agency reports that at least one child lost their life in the attack.



Meanwhile, powerful explosions were heard in the early morning hours in various areas of Tehran, on the 24th day of clashes, as reported by Iranian media outlets. The Israeli military announced via Telegram, shortly after 04:00 (Greek time), the launch of “extensive strikes against Iranian regime infrastructure in Tehran,” without providing further details.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry announced this morning that two ballistic missiles were launched against the capital Riyadh, one of which was intercepted and the second fell in an uninhabited area.

At least one person was killed following an air strike that hit a radio station in the city of Bandar Abbas, one of Iran’s most important ports on the Persian Gulf, according to the semi-official MEHR news agency. At the same time, tensions are peaking in Israel, where a barrage of Iranian missiles triggered extensive alerts. Reports speak of increased missile activity attributed mainly to Iran.

Authorities issued multiple warnings across various regions of the country, focusing on Jerusalem, central Israel and the south, calling on citizens to immediately seek shelter due to incoming missiles.

Meanwhile, Trump also criticized NATO countries, saying they are “doing nothing” and that Iran is now receiving “the punishment it deserves.”
