A fragment of an Iranian missile struck a residential building used by the US consul in Israel, Israeli media reported today. No further details about the incident have been provided at this time.
It should be noted that two men, approximately 50 years old, were lightly injured in the latest ballistic missile attack by Iran against Israel, according to the Times of Israel. The newspaper reports that a missile carrying a submunition warhead released subunits over the city of Eilat in the south and central Israel.
Earlier, local authorities in Eilat had told the newspaper that an Iranian ballistic missile with a submunition warhead had been shot down by Israeli air defenses over the city.
In a video released by police from a business security camera, the moment when a cluster bomb attributed to Iran falls in central Israel and causes a powerful explosion is captured. Two 50-year-old men were injured in the attack, according to doctors. The moment of impact is terrifying, as it appears that just a few meters away, a person moves away from the site.
