Moments before boarding Marine One to travel to Andrews Base, American President Donald Trump made statements on Wednesday afternoon (11/03) to reporters regarding the war in Iran and the latest developments in the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump on Iran: We’ve hit them harder than any other country
Specifically, the US President stated regarding the operation against Iran: “We knocked out their navy, their air force, we sunk 16 of their mine-laying ships, no one has ever seen anything like it. They have no radar, their leaders have been killed. We’ve left some things still intact”. “We’ve hit them harder than any other country in history and we’re not done yet,” he added. He explained that “we’re leaving certain things that we could destroy by this afternoon, in fact, within an hour. They could never rebuild this country.”
PRESIDENT TRUMP: “They’ve lost their navy. They’ve lost their air force. They have no anti-aircraft apparatus at all. They have no radar. Their leaders are gone. And we could do a lot worse.”

“We destroyed all their mine-laying ships in one night”
Furthermore, at another point Trump mentioned: “I’ve spoken with many world leaders, they tell me we have the best military, they’ve never seen anything like it.”
Regarding the thriller unfolding in the Strait of Hormuz after Iran’s threats about mines, Trump, responding to a journalist’s question, noted that “we don’t think anything like that has happened,” emphasizing that “we destroyed all their mine-laying ships in one night.” Meanwhile, the American President encouraged oil tankers to cross the Strait of Hormuz, insisting they are safe despite attacks on three ships in the waterway earlier that day. Iran claimed responsibility for the attack on at least two of those ships.
TRUMP: I think oil companies should use the Strait of Hormuz.
“We took out just about all of their mine ships in one night… just about all of their navy is gone.”

However, it should be noted that earlier today, Reuters reported that Iran had placed “about twelve mines.” One of the sources told the agency that the positions of most mines are known, but avoided clarifying how the United States plans to address the situation.
Trump: We might cut off trade with Spain
In response to another question about whether he can declare victory if Iran’s supreme leader remains Khamenei’s son, Trump chose not to comment on the issue.
Regarding the strike on the girls’ school in Minamb where over 150 girls were killed, Trump also declined to answer. When asked about a military investigation suggesting the strike was from an American missile, he responded that “I don’t know about that.”
Trump once again criticized Spain, saying “they don’t know what they’re doing in Spain, they’re not good with NATO… The people in the country are fantastic, the leadership is not so good.” He said the Spanish are uncooperative and repeated his threat that “we might cut off trade with Spain.”
.@POTUS: “I think they’re not cooperating at all. Spain? I think they’ve been very bad, not good at all… they’ve been very bad to NATO. They get protected, they don’t want to pay their fair share…the people of Spain are fantastic. The leadership, not so good.” pic.twitter.com/oRRX3RrOnt

Finally, the American President was asked about the situation in Lebanon, saying: “The people of Lebanon are very good, but we need to get rid of Hezbollah.”
