The Financial Times, citing informed sources, revealed that Israel expects that the offensive against Lebanon will last longer than the conflict with Iran, as the Israeli military prepares for a prolonged campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
According to sources, the Israeli plan aims to inflict significant damage on Hezbollah, thereby mitigating the persistent fears of residents in northern Israel regarding the need for evacuation due to security threats.
The newspaper added that Israel currently controls at least 12 advanced bases along the Lebanese border.
Sources also reported that Israeli officials were discussing the option to launch an attack against Hezbollah even before the start of the offensive against Iran.
