Reports circulating in recent hours about Iran claiming that Basij and Revolutionary Guard officers are disguising themselves as women to avoid US and Israeli attacks have already gone viral on social media, though they remain unconfirmed at this time. According to these same reports, officers of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and the Basij militia are appearing with covered faces and bodies, wearing clothing over their pants that resembles women’s attire, to escape American-Israeli attacks as tomorrow Saturday (07.03.2026) marks one week of war in Iran.
Reuters has reported that after the strikes, severe disruptions occurred in Iranian digital infrastructure, while connectivity monitoring organizations like NetBlocks have described a prolonged blackout. This means that even when visual material or impressive claims emerge, the ability for independent verification is much more limited than in other conflicts.
