The Israeli Air Force destroyed the underground bunker of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei -who was killed last Saturday (28/02) during the military attack launched by the US and Israel against Iran- as the IDF announced today.
Specifically, approximately 50 Israeli Air Force fighter jets dropped around 100 bombs on the location, which, according to the IDF, was situated beneath Iran’s “leadership complex” in Tehran, spread across multiple streets and included “several entry points and halls for meetings of senior members of the Iranian terrorist regime.”

“The underground bunker was built beneath the complex and was a secure emergency means for managing the war by the supreme leader, who was eliminated before he could use it,” the Israeli military noted.
The military claims that, after Khamenei’s death, “the complex continued to be used by senior members of the Iranian regime.”
Unit 8200 and Unit 9900 of the Military Intelligence Directorate mapped the location after years of effort, enabling today’s “precise” attack, according to the IDF. The Israeli military has struck positions in Iran’s “leadership complex” in Tehran several times amid the conflict. In the war’s first strike, it killed Khamenei at this specific complex. Another attack on a nearby building eliminated eight top Iranian officials, according to the Israeli military.
