Tensions are raging in the Middle East with Iran and Israel exchanging mutual strikes, while American targets in Gulf countries are now at the center of Tehran’s attacks. During the night, two new missile attacks on Israel were recorded as the war between the US, Israel and Iran enters its 6th day. Alarm sirens sounded in various areas, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, southern Beirut, a stronghold of the Shiite Hezbollah movement aligned with Iran, became the target of a new aerial bombardment in the early morning hours, after the Israeli army ordered residents of the neighborhood to evacuate hastily, an AFP television crew recorded.
Following its order, the Israeli army announced via Telegram that it “began striking Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut,” while smoke rose into the sky from the southern part of the Lebanese capital.
Three people were killed and six others wounded in two Israeli strikes near Beirut, as announced by Lebanon’s Health Ministry late Wednesday evening.
Israeli attacks also occurred in western Tehran. Specifically, Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport was hit, the country’s second largest and most important airport, as well as multiple points near Azadi Square.
Israeli forces also bombed targets in southern Syria. It should be noted that the Iranian Tasnim agency and a Kurdish official denied reports of a Kurdish ground invasion into Iran, which were referenced by American media, including a Fox News journalist citing an American official source.
