At least six people lost their lives in Israeli bombardments in two cities south of Beirut, Lebanon’s Health Ministry announced in the early morning hours.
The ministry clarified that “attacks by the Israeli enemy in the areas of Aramoun and Saadnayel” resulted in the deaths of 6 people and wounded 8 others “according to a still preliminary toll” of casualties.
Meanwhile, Lebanon’s national news agency ANI reported that the Israeli air force bombed a “four-story building” in the city of Baalbek (eastern Lebanon), causing an undetermined number of deaths and injuries. According to the same source, rescue teams are attempting to extract victims, both alive and dead, from the building’s rubble.
IDF orders urgent evacuation of Lebanese residents
On the other side, the Israeli army ordered residents of 16 communities in southern Lebanon to evacuate their homes urgently in the early morning hours, issuing “urgent warnings” before launching new bombardments. “For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately” heading to “open areas,” stated Arabic-speaking Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee via X, who provided a list naming 16 villages.
