NBC News reveals the unknown clash between Araghchi, Witkoff and Kushner in Geneva
Citing a senior official, the NBC News report states that the Iranian Foreign Minister began shouting at Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, claiming that his country has an “inalienable right” to uranium enrichment. In response, Witkoff said that the US has an “inalienable right” to stop Iran. “If you prefer, I can leave,” Witkoff reportedly told Araghchi in response to his shouting. The senior American official told NBC that Witkoff and Kushner subsequently briefed Trump, who was “uncomfortable.” Nearly 48 hours later, the US together with Israel bombed Tehran, killing the country’s supreme religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
