Keir Starmer, during his briefing to Parliament on Middle East developments, stressed that he stands by his decision not to support the initial joint US-Israel attacks against Iran, after US President Donald Trump criticized his approach.
“President Trump expressed his disagreement with our decision not to engage in the initial attacks,” Starmer stated, after Trump criticized him for being “too late” in allowing the use of air bases by the US.
“But it is my duty to judge what is in Britain’s national interest. That’s what I did and I stand by it.”
