The European Commission has approved a Greek state aid scheme worth €400 million for strategic investments in clean technologies. According to a Commission announcement, the measure aims to strengthen production capacity for net-zero emissions technologies, based on the objectives of the Clean Industrial Deal agreement.
Commission: Aid through direct grants and tax advantages available until December 31, 2030
The aid will be provided through direct grants and tax advantages and will be open to businesses across Greece until December 31, 2030. The Commission found that the scheme complies with the Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework (CISAF), which was approved in June 2025, and that the aid is necessary and proportionate to accelerate the transition to a net-zero emissions economy.
CISAF allows member states to support strategic investments in clean technologies, critical raw materials production, and decarbonization of industrial processes, with the goal of accelerating the green transition across the European Union.
