French President Emmanuel Macron found himself in yet another awkward moment caught on camera today with his wife, as Brigitte generously delivered another “snub” to him during official duties.
Specifically, according to video published by the “Daily Mail”, the presidential couple was recorded as their plane arrived in London, where they are set to conduct a three-day official visit. Macron, disembarking first from the plane, greeted the Prince and Princess of Wales, while Brigitte followed.
However, another “scene” between the couple appears to have been captured, as France’s First Lady, while descending the aircraft stairs, demonstratively ignored the hand that Macron extended to help her. Indeed, she chose to hold the stair railing instead, leaving Macron “hanging” to pull his hand back.
It should be noted that a few minutes later, the Macron couple was seen in a car waiting to leave the airport, with the atmosphere between them being “cold” and Brigitte occupied with her phone.
It is recalled that about a month has passed since the video that went viral online showing Brigitte slapping Emmanuel Macron shortly before they exited the plane in Hanoi, Vietnam. It should be noted that Macron’s communications team was caught off guard by the uproar the video caused and initially tried to claim it was fake and created with artificial intelligence – until a few hours later they were forced to admit the video was authentic. Meanwhile, to justify the “unjustifiable,” Elysée officials continued to deny that the couple had argued and maintained they were simply “joking” in a “moment of intimacy.”
