A small aircraft crashed in Manchester, with emergency services rushing to the scene. According to the BBC, the incident occurred near the M62 motorway in Littleborough, Rochdale.
“The incident has been acknowledged, while emergency service workers are conducting their investigations and people are being asked to avoid the area while these operations are being carried out.”
According to Flight Radar, which tracks air traffic, the aircraft is a small Cirrus SR 20 that took off from Birmingham shortly before ultimately losing altitude.
