Bill and Hillary Clinton have agreed to appear and testify before a U.S. Congressional investigative committee regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case, as announced Monday by a spokesperson for the former Democratic president. The decision came as the couple faced the possibility of criminal prosecution for obstruction of Congressional proceedings, due to their initial refusal to testify.
“They negotiated in good faith, you did not. They told you under oath what they know, but you don’t care,” spokesperson Angel Ureña stated via X, responding to a message from the committee’s Republicans who demanded the couple appear to testify regarding Bill Clinton’s past relationships with Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier who was also the mastermind behind a criminal network for the sexual exploitation of young women and underage girls.
“The former president and former Secretary of State will be there. They look forward to setting a precedent that applies to everyone,” Clinton’s spokesperson added.

But the former President and former Secretary of State will be there.
They look forward to setting a precedent that applies to everyone. https://t.co/iO67XjNFsT
