Announcements regarding the meeting between the American president and the Israeli prime minister are expected throughout the day from the relevant press offices. However, after the meeting between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, there will be no joint press conference, as is customary after White House visits. Nevertheless, the global community anxiously awaits developments regarding the American ceasefire proposal and the future of Gaza.
According to the schedule, even Netanyahu’s arrival at the White House at 6:30 PM (1:30 AM Greece time) will be closed to the press. Subsequently, the two leaders will have a private dinner with their spouses. Unlike Netanyahu’s two previous visits this year, no press conference or Oval Office photo opportunity has been scheduled.
Netanyahu’s schedule in the US
Before the dinner with Trump, Netanyahu will meet with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff at Blair House, where the Israeli prime minister is staying.
On Tuesday, Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with US Vice President J.D. Vance and members of Congress at the Capitol. On Wednesday, he plans to meet with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon, before hosting a gala for Jewish and evangelical community leaders.
Netanyahu is scheduled to return to Israel on Thursday.
