Donald Trump has set his sights on Greenland and the country’s prime minister has sent his own message. Specifically, Mute Egede estimated today (20/01) that a military operation against Greenland “is not likely,” however the region that US President Donald Trump has designs on must be prepared.
“We must be ready for all possibilities”
“It is not likely that military force will be used but this cannot be ruled out. The other side (Donald Trump) said it clearly,” Nielsen said at a press conference in Nuuk, Greenland’s capital. “That is why we must be ready for all possibilities, but we emphasize: Greenland is part of NATO and, if there is to be an escalation, this will also have consequences for the rest of the world,” added the leader of the autonomous Danish island.
