Hundreds of skiers gathered on the resort’s main slope and coordinated their descent from summit to base, forming a massive heart in the snow – a living symbol of remembrance, respect and unity. The deadly explosion caused global shock, as the resulting fire claimed 40 lives – including reportedly 15-year-old Aliki Kallergi – and injured another 119 people. Meanwhile, authorities are investigating the security gaps that led to this tragedy.
