Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today that he has agreed to meet with American President Donald Trump in the near future, following weeks of intensified diplomatic efforts to end the war with Russia.
“Much can be decided before the New Year,” Zelensky wrote in a post on X.
Specifically, Zelensky wrote in his post: “Rustem Umerov briefed me on his latest contacts with the American side. We are not wasting a single day. We have agreed on a meeting at the highest level – with President Trump in the near future. Much can be decided before the New Year. Glory to Ukraine!”
