Just hours after the crash of the private jet carrying Libya’s Army Chief of Staff, Mohamed Ali Al Haddad and his entourage, which claimed the lives of eight people, including one victim likely of Greek origin, Turkey’s Interior Minister announced that the voice recorder and black box of the Falcon 50 were found.

Aircraft crash in Turkey: Timeline of the tragedy – Reports of Greek national among victims
The aircraft reported electrical failure and requested an emergency landing shortly after takeoff from Ankara. The leadership of Libya’s armed forces was returning to Tripoli following a visit to the Turkish capital. The private Falcon jet, carrying Libya’s Army Chief of Staff Mohamed Ali Al Haddad and his entourage, disappeared from radar shortly after takeoff.
According to ERT reports, among the victims is a person with a Greek name, likely a flight attendant who was a crew member.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated, as reported by ERT, that authorities located the voice recording device and the aircraft’s black box at the crash site, with Turkish authorities committed to fully investigating the case that claimed eight lives.
According to the Turkish official, the area where they are searching for debris and answers about the causes of the aviation tragedy extends 3 kilometers, and he announced that the relevant aircraft accident investigation services have already begun evaluating the findings.
The aircraft crashed 30 minutes after takeoff
According to aviation website reports, the Falcon 50, flight number 9H-DFS, crashed approximately 30 minutes after takeoff. The flight departed from the airport at 20:17 bound for Tripoli, Libya. The aircraft requested to make an emergency landing, but subsequently all communication was lost until it crashed into the ground.
