As the US Department of Justice continues to release information – photos and documents – from the Jeffrey Epstein files, Prince Andrew, who has been stripped of his titles and is now simply called Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, remains at the center of the revelations.
It should be recalled that the former Prince Andrew had characterized as “just a simple hunting weekend” the party he had organized at one of Queen Elizabeth’s main country estates, Sandringham, in which convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell participated.
Epstein files: Prince Andrew lying across the laps of 5 women
The black and white photograph that has come to light shows Andrew lying across the laps of 5 women. Although it is not known exactly when the snapshot was taken, the Daily Mail reports that it captures a scene from a party Andrew organized for Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in early December 2000, at Sandringham: Queen Elizabeth’s beloved private home in Norfolk.

Royal family servants allegedly found lubricants, condoms and substances throughout the house. In Robert Jobson’s book The Windsor Legacy, it is mentioned that the bathtubs were filled with related items, including drugs that aid sexual contact known as poppers. Citing a “palace source,” Mr. Jobson writes: “Staff were stunned when they discovered that the bathrooms were equipped not only with toiletries, but also with poppers, lubricants and condoms.”
The photograph shows Andrew smiling at the camera wearing a bow tie and tuxedo with his face very close to the bare legs of one of the women. Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for helping Jeffrey Epstein abuse at least 1,200 women and girls, can be seen in the background, next to another woman. The photograph was taken in Sandringham’s luxurious lounge, which is used as a living room when the British royal family stays there.
Traditionally, the family gathers in this room for afternoon tea on Christmas Eve and again on Christmas Day to watch the King’s Christmas message.
“It will horrify his family. It’s one of their most private and intimate spaces and they will be outraged that Andrew treated it like just another place for entertainment and showing off to his friends,” royal author Andrew Lownie says about the photograph.
