Donald Trump acknowledged that Republicans may not retain control of the House of Representatives after the 2026 midterm elections, stating that some of his economic measures have not yet yielded results.
Donald Trump: I have created the greatest economy in history
I don’t know when all this money will come,” Trump characteristically responded when asked if Republicans would lose control of the House in November, adding however that “I have created the greatest economy in history” and that “it takes time for people to realize this.”
“All this money flowing into our country allows us right now to build things: car factories, artificial intelligence, many others. (But) I can’t tell you how this will translate for the voter. All I can do is my job,” Trump admitted.
Trump insists that his economic measures, including imposing high tariffs on foreign product imports, create jobs, boost the stock market and attract investment to the US, noting that “I believe by the time we talk about elections, which are still a few months away, I believe our prices will be in good shape.”
“Even those who, you know, had a successful presidency,” suffered defeats, added the 79-year-old Trump. “We’ll see what happens. We have to win, but, you know, statistically it’s very difficult,” Trump said.
“When will polls reflect America’s greatness today?”
It should be noted that according to a University of Chicago poll for the AP agency published a few days ago, only 31% of Americans are satisfied with Trump’s economic policy. “When will polls reflect America’s greatness today?” the American president reacted with a post on Truth Social. “When will we finally say that I created, without inflation, perhaps the best economy in our country’s history? When will people realize what’s happening?”
