An incident is currently unfolding at London’s Heathrow Airport, where armed police have rushed to Terminal 3. Ambulances and fire vehicles have also been deployed to the scene, while according to information available so far, at least two arrests have been made.
The tunnels leading to the airport have been closed and underground train services have been suspended.
Authorities have given strict orders for drivers to remain inside their vehicles, while access to Terminal 3’s parking facility has been blocked. The incident has created major congestion, with vehicles remaining immobilized without the ability to enter or exit the drop-off zone.
Authorities have not yet provided details about the incident. An airport spokesperson stated: “Our teams are responding to an incident with the emergency services in the multi-story car park at Terminal 3. We will provide updates shortly.”
