The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and two American envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law and advisor, continues in Moscow. The meeting was scheduled to begin around 5:00 PM (Greek time), but was delayed by approximately 1.5 hours due to Vladimir Putin’s attendance at an investment forum.
The Americans had previously dined with the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, a close associate of the Russian president.
Zelensky: Confirmation of the 20-point plan to end the war
Earlier today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that he and the US have agreed on a 20-point plan.
American and Ukrainian negotiators have refined a peace agreement framework that was developed in Geneva during their recent talks in Florida, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated.
He added that Ukraine wants its European allies to become more involved in the process.
However, he explained that three issues were the “most sensitive and most difficult.” These involve territorial concessions, “frozen” Russian assets, and the coalition of the willing – countries seeking to support a future peace agreement for Ukraine.
