Mike Pompeo had the opportunity to discuss with Tasos Hatzivasileiou on the sidelines of the 21st Annual Cyprus Summit. The Deputy Foreign Minister had the chance to hear the views of the former head of US diplomacy on both the Kyriakos Mitsotakis government’s energy plans and the Cyprus issue. The New Democracy MP was able to witness firsthand the comprehensive briefing that the former US Secretary of State has on these matters.
Specifically, Tasos Hatzivasileiou mentioned in his post: “On the sidelines of the 21st Annual Cyprus Summit, I had the pleasure of meeting with Mike Pompeo, former US Secretary of State and top Republican official.
We discussed the energy plans of the Kyriakos Mitsotakis government and the current situation regarding Greek-Turkish relations and the Cyprus issue. He, a longtime friend of Greece, is well aware of the issues in our region”.
